Does the front scratch?
The laminated surface is noticeably more scratch-resistant than a lacquered front — the hard structure withstands everyday use, a dropped piece of cutlery or keys on the worktop without a trace. This is one of the reasons most families with children choose this finish.
How long does such a front last?
With good-quality workmanship (thick edge banding, solid edge bonding) — 15–20 years without losing its look. We see this with customers who ordered from us over a decade ago.
How do you care for it day to day?
A damp microfibre cloth once a week is enough — these fronts do not need daily wiping to a shine like lacquer. For greasy dirt: water with a drop of washing-up liquid. Avoid abrasives and rough sponges.
